What to do next

If you feel you would like to take the next step on your cake journey and reserve your diary space then all bookings require a booking fee. This non refundable fee, adds you to my diary and is deducted from you balance once it is confirmed. Whatever your event, be it a wedding, special birthday, anniversary, or something else, to check if your date is available please do fill in my contact form and I will endeavour to get back to you within 48 hours.

If you would like to try before you buy, then once a month I offer tasting boxes, these boxes contain 5 full size dessert portions of my most popular flavours, Vanilla and Strawberry, Lemon, Chocolate, White Chocolate Raspberry and Salted Caramel. Boxes are charged at just £20 (if you would like me to post them to you then a small postage and packaging fee will be added). I usually make them around the middle of the month but this may change based on my diary space so please do drop me an email for my next date.

If you have booked for a wedding, then you will be invited to my studio for a design consultation roughly 6 months before your wedding date, where a design will be confirmed. Your balance will then be due one calendar month before the big day, more information on my bespoke wedding cake service can be found here.

Stand alone cake toppers have a lead time of 8-12 weeks, and since these are very personal I will send an email with a request form for you to fill in and send back to me, attaching images of how you would like your figurines to look. Prices are then finalised based on the level of detail, with the balance due one calendar month before collection date. I have more information regarding my bespoke topper service in my Wedding cake eBrochure.

For general celebration cakes a design will be confirmed over email up to 2 weeks before your event, and your balance will be due one week before your collection date.

Price and Portions

Here is a rough guide to help you work out which size cake you may require for your celebration, based on your guest numbers. Sizes are based on the standard 1”x1”x5” finger portion and 2”x1”x5” dessert portion and are for a round cake. For square cakes, you may need to size down.

All my cakes are baked to a standard height of 5”, which includes 4 layers of delicious sponge cake and 3 layers of filling. If you require a shorter or taller tier then I will happily amend and do this for you.

All prices are listed as a starting price and are based on style and level of decoration, so they may change once we have discussed design. Prices are based on a fondant finished cake, which is covered in a layer of either milk or white Belgium chocolate ganache, which gives a nice smooth surface to add a thin layer of fondant. If you preferred a buttercream finish then this may also affect the overall cost. For a better idea of how much your cake could cost please do contact me for more information.

Below is an example of the different levels of pricing, with all cakes matching in size and log design, but due to the different details, they all carry a different price. I hope it helps you understand the way I price my work.

Basic- £570

Average- £610

Full on- £670

Flavours

I know it is really important to choose the right flavour for your celebration, whether you have one tier or five tiers you can choose a different flavour for each one. All my cakes are baked using the highest quality ingredients, and are filled with homemade preserves and curds. They are then covered with a layer of Belgian chocolate ganache before a final covering of couture fondant, if you would prefer a buttercream finish then my buttercream is made using real dairy butter and vanilla bean paste.
